With the renovation of the bar and restaurant space, LS Group and its design partners demonstrated just how effectively a remodel lswith an updated lighting story can change the energy of a space.
Designed to evoke a moody, immersive atmosphere, the space features layered, integrated lighting that enhances both its architectural elements and diverse programming. From intimate banquette seating to corner high-tops, an entry vestibule, and a small performance stage, each area required its own lighting identity while contributing to a cohesive whole.

At the heart of the design is The Gambit's bar, where both functionality and beauty guided the design decisions. The emerald facade reflects the subtle glow from the concealed underbar fixtures, while the bar’s spirit collection benefits from dual-direction lighting from above and below. Labels and bottles appear crystalline to both mixologists and patrons. Precisely aimed fixtures at the backbar allow staff efficiency while showcasing top-shelf offerings.
Artwork lighting was another important part of the space’s overall design. Traditional mounted picture lights highlight the curated art collection, which serves as a series of visual anchors guiding guests through the space. The illuminated pieces stand out in sharp relief against the dark walls, adding rhythm and depth to the overall experience.
